HVAC Sheet Metal Takeoffs & Bid Packages

Bid due and no time to do the takeoff? Let our estimating division do it.

Send us the mechanical sheets. The FlowLogic Estimating Division — 25 years of sheet metal estimating, backed by the FlowLogic platform — returns a bid-ready package. You review, approve, set your markup, and send your bid. Your numbers stay yours. Your plans are never shared. We never work both sides of a bid.

Why shops call us back

A measurement is not a bid.

Every fitting counted, by type and by size

Takeoff services hand you linear feet and duct dimensions. We hand you a bid — every elbow, transition, end cap, tap, and collar counted by type and size. Fittings fabricate at 8–12 lb/hr against 25–30 for straight duct and routinely add 40–50% to fabricated weight. Miss them and the estimate isn't low — it's wrong. That judgment is sheet-metal-specific, and it is the whole product.

Real work product

This is what comes back.

Clipped from an actual takeoff delivered this month — straight duct scheduled by size and SMACNA gauge, every fitting counted with its developed area, and install labor phased in crew-days.

Sheet count = mechanical (M-series) sheets in your set. Multi-building, phased, and industrial scopes quoted after we review the drawings. Rush service quoted. Volume pricing and monthly retainers available — ask when you send your first set. We deliberately don’t price fabricated duct or supply house material: those run through your fab shop and your supplier accounts, at your numbers.

$189First job

Your first takeoff is $189, any package. One per company, single-building commercial, one plan set — and it's credited in full toward a bid block or your first month of the FlowLogic platform if you move forward within 30 days. We'd rather you saw the work product than read about it.

Included in every package

The Scope Protection Report.

Exclusions to write into your bid, in the words to use. Plan-vs-spec conflicts flagged for RFI before they become your problem. Cost drivers identified — welded seam, special gauge, liner, renovation access — so nothing ambushes you after award. It's the difference between a measurement and a bid, and it's the reason shops call back.

How it works

Plan set in. Bid out.

1

Send the set

Plan set PDF and your bid date. We confirm scope, run a conflicts check, and quote the fee within one business day.

2

Brief intake

Your labor rates and standards if you want the numbers in your dialect — otherwise we price on clearly labeled regional standards.

3

We build it

Built in the FlowLogic platform. You get the package plus login access to the live job — every quantity traceable to a spot on the drawing.

4

You approve

Nothing goes out under your name without your eyes on it. Final quantities, pricing, and markup are always yours.

Our commitments

How we protect your bid.

One client per bid

If we're already engaged on a job, we decline the second request — and we don't say who hired us.

Subcontractor side only

We never estimate for general contractors or owners. FlowLogic is never on both sides of a table.

Your numbers stay yours

Your plans, rates, and results are never shared, sold, or used to serve another shop.

Talk to an estimator, not a sales team.
